About Nick
[NEWS: Nick will be providing in person appointments at a new location in Patterson Park! If you schedule in person on Fridays, your appointment will be in the new Be More Liberated office!]
Nick is a Baltimore transplant by way of Frederick County, and a stint in Shepherdstown, WV. Nick identifies as cis, queer/gay man who participates in polyamorous/CNM dating, and nontraditional spirituality practices (tarot, meditation, some herbs and spells, spiritualism). Nick is an avid gardener and farmer’s market attendee and is a community oriented kinda guy. You’ll probably see him out and about at a coffee shop or bar, a park, or biking around the city.
Counseling Philosophy
A solid therapeutic relationship is unlike any other you’ll ever have – not quite a friend, not your doctor, definitely not mom, maybe sometimes like your drama coach or your personal trainer. Sometimes you’ll laugh, talk about the weather, and other times you’ll cry and cuss and process pain. Often times you’ll do both in one hour. Overall, therapy is a collaborative effort to enact change in your life, to help you feel unstuck, to help you achieve goals, and to achieve a deep understanding of yourself.
Nick believes his job is to work himself out of a job. This means that you will one day move on from needing a therapist because you’ll be able to handle whatever life throws at you.
Nick primarily practices Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is training in Somatic Experiencing (completed the beginning level), and is inspired by the Poly Vagal Theory, and holistic health and wellness modalities.

After Graduating in 2017, Nick joined the In-Home Intervention Team at Baltimore County Crisis Response.
